Hamish and Sarah drove into Calvi so the rest of us enjoyed looking after Finn. He is a genius baby and so entertaining. He is a real happy chappie and ultra busy all the time, although he is happy to have an hour or 2 nap each afternoon.

We took him to the beach early before it got too hot and all of us had a great time swimming and watching him like hawks.

After we returned we did our best to eat up the remaining food for lunch and then had a couple of hours of pool time. The villa has a great layout but some of the design choices are odd. I’ve previously described the see through glass door to the master bedroom. Not sure if I added that there is no door at all to their enormous bathroom. There is also a yellow glass door on the downstairs loo and a clear, etched glass sliding door on our ensuite.
We booked for dinner and the 6 of us walked down to the town to a restaurant. Hamish and Sarah ate at the villa as it’s a bit difficult to eat out at night with Finn, plus Sarah is pregnant so the heat is affecting her.
The restaurant was on an outdoor terrace surrounded by Oleanders and with a bamboo roof, opposite the main indoor restaurant. No ceiling fans but they did have periodic misters.

Four of us had the 3 course set menu which included the same mains as the menu but at a fraction of the price. The food was excellent.

The walk back was scenic and uneventful. No savaging dogs!
