We had a leisurely start in preparation for the arrival of most guests and then the pizza party. The pool is great and the food at Guadelupe is great. We had a good breakfast and a salad for lunch plus lots of water.
One of the guests from Singapore (maybe Hong Kong though originally from the UK) had hired a Ferrari for a few days before the wedding. Thereafter known as Ferrari Ben, he was happy to take Mike and Pauline for a drive and for us to sit in it and pose. His partner said it was actually a relief to have it collected as it drew a lot of attention and they were terrified of damaging it. They are back in the UK in September for their wedding so JenY and Craig will go to that as well as a ceremony in Singapore. A really lovely couple.

I forgot to include the following photo from the plane over. We crossed the Alps from France and flew over northern Italy and then down the coast to Pisa. Had a great view of the Alps including several glaciers where they turn into rivers.

I was in charge of the post pizza party quiz so there was a bit to do for that. I’d already prepared the questions and printed out answer sheets. Jen had got wrist bands and pens so we could ensure mixing up of groups and thus the opportunity for people to get to know others.

It was hot and we needed bug spray at sun down but we were organised. The pizzas and salads were excellent.

The quiz went well. Too hard for some groups and just right for others. The MC, Nick helped me with marking and managing groups, thank goodness. It took a while but we ripped through the second half and loads of people came and thanked me profusely ( as if the whole quiz idea was mine 😂). I politely accepted their praise 🤪. There have been requests for both the questions and answers to go into the group chat so will arrange that.

It was quite stressful so was very tired when we got to bed.
Still no luggage for Mark. He’s bought Italian shoes and some togs, a shirt and trousers and will fit Mikes jacket.
