We had a relaxed start to the morning and then met up with Barbara for a walk into town to gather brunch and look for otters. There’s a breeding family in the river. Although not as hot as Spain or France, it was still hot and humid.
We walked to the mall for some bits and pieces and then to a cafe for brunch, which was yum.

On the way back, we not only saw the otters, they came right over to our side of the river and started playing on the bank beside us. There’s a breeding family of about 14 of them including 4 or 5 pups. So cute.

That evening we had booked to go to Marina Bay Sands for cocktails and then dinner. It was an an excellent evening and we had a wonderful time.

It turned out this was also the evening where Singapore had a rehearsal for the National Day fly over and fireworks. National Day is next month. We were in the prime location to view both.

Then there was a sunset.

And fireworks

It was all an added bonus. We went to this lovely restaurant on the rooftop of one of the towers and the food was excellent. Such a great experience.
